Healing through nature


The practice of forest bathing , known as Forest Bathing or Shinrin-Yoku , involves consciously and intentionally immersing yourself in nature, activating all of your senses as you slowly walk through the forest. As you allow the calm of the natural environment to envelop you, your body and mind begin to respond in a positive way, promoting a range of health benefits.


Scientific studies show that forest bathing helps reduce levels of cortisol , the stress hormone, which contributes to a feeling of tranquility and general well-being and renews your energy levels.


Furthermore, the simple act of breathing forest air, rich in natural organic compounds called phytoncides , has proven effects on strengthening the immune system , increasing the production of "natural killer" (NK) cells, which help fight infections and diseases.

Here are 5 simple tips you can incorporate into your daily routine to boost your energy levels:

  1. Take a deep breath in the fresh air: Go outside and take 5 deep breaths, breathing in the fresh air. This simple act will oxygenate your body and increase your energy.

  2. Walk barefoot on grass or dirt: Feel the ground beneath your feet, promoting a sense of rootedness and connection to the earth, which helps to revitalize the body.

  3. Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of nature: If you are near trees, birds or even the wind, focus on these sounds for 5 minutes. This will help to slow down your mind and restore your energy.

  4. Look at the sky or trees: Spend a few minutes simply looking at the sky or the treetops. This simple practice helps relieve eye strain and refresh your mind.

  5. Touch plants or soil: Use your hands to touch plants, flowers or soil. This physical contact with nature helps to relax and energize the body.
